Fall Internship Guidance

"I can't find anything to apply to. What can I do now?"

I'm getting this question from a lot of seniors lately. They're ready, motivated and they want to move fast.

But if you're not interviewing for banking, consulting, or a handful of leadership programs, most full time roles for 2027 grads haven't posted yet.

That does not mean you can just chill. There's still real work to do. 

Here's what I tell my clients:

✅ Build your target company list. Then do a little digging to learn what's actually happening at each one right now.  What new products are they launching?  What trends are having the biggest impact on their business?

✅ Start networking today. Go to your career center and find out if those companies recruit directly from your school.  Find alumni or people in your network connected to those companies and ask a few real questions. You're not asking for a job. You're gathering information and building relationships that may help you when roles do open.

✅ Use everything you learn to build your specific answer to "why this company." Not “because I grew up using their products.” I’m looking for what specifically excited you about this role, at this company. 

The roles aren't posted yet, but this is the perfect time to get started.
